Sumant Vedpathak

Sumant Vedpathak, Physical Therapist
My name is Sumant. I recently started my work as a Physical therapist at Total Care PT and have already had a pleasure to meet some of our patients.
But let me properly introduce myself.
Having been working in the field of physical therapy and treating patients for the last 13 years I had an extensive exposure and opportunity to treat patients with orthopedic injuries, joint replacements, post-surgical patients, and patients with sports injuries, neurological disorders.
After completing my Bachelors of Physiotherapy from a renowned Orthopedic hospital in India, I pursued my Master’s in Physiotherapy from Manipal University, India, specializing in adult neurorehabilitation. It is during this time that I developed an interest in academic research, presenting at local, state, and international conferences and that led me to field of teaching, first as a lecturer and later as an assistant professor at Maharashtra University Health Sciences in India.
After coming to the USA in 2015 I continued not only my work as a Physical Therapist but also my professional development, thus completing my Doctor of Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University, USA, getting certifications in LSVT BIG therapy and Graston and McKenzie techniques.
Patients often kindly describe me as warm, gentle, and patient, which I truly appreciate. I strive to understand my patients’ feelings and needs, treat them with empathy and compassion, finding ways to make them feel comfortable and engaged in their physical therapy.
During my free time on weekends and outside of work, I love nothing more than cherishing moments with my wife and son. We enjoy watching movies together, exploring nature on hikes, and occasionally having a blast at karaoke nights with our friends and family.
I am looking forward to meeting my new patients and providing care for you, supporting you on your physical rehabilitation journey.
